Annual Scientific Retreat

Each fall the MCRI hosts an interactive retreat at the Marine Biological Laboratories in Woods Hole, Massachusetts.  The retreat consists of lectures given by nationally and internationally recognized leaders in the field of cardiovascular research, along with a poster session during which faculty, staff and trainees present their latest research efforts and results.  The relaxed atmosphere of the annual retreat has resulted in several collaborative and novel research approaches, projects and ideas.  Often, these collaborations lead to NIH and other grant applications solidifying long-term and successful research partnerships both within the MCRI and Tufts Medical Center and nationally and internationally with major academic and medical institutions and increasingly, biotechnology companies.
