Edward Dudek

Dr. Dudek recently joined the research group of Dr. Janis Lem in the MCRI. His current research involves examining the signaling events in the photoreceptor cells of the retina during light activation which contributes to retinal degeneration and loss of vision as observed in Retinitis pigmentosa and age-related macular degeneration. Prior to joining the MCRI, Dr. Dudek was a researcher at the Tufts Human Nutrition Research Center (HNRC) studying clearance of damaged and abnormal cellular proteins mediated by the ubiquitin proteasome degradation pathway.
