Janis Lem is an Investigator in the Molecular Cardiology Research Institute and Eye Center of Tufts Medical Center, and an Associate Professor at Tufts University School of Medicine. She also has an appointment in the Program in Genetics at Tufts University School of Medicine. Dr. Lem received a B.S. in Biology (1979) and a Ph. D. in Microbiology (1987) from the University of Southern California. She completed her postdoctoral training at the California Institute of Technology in 1993, after which she joined the Tufts faculty.
