Make a Gift of Securities:
A gift of securities may have substantial benefits, including an increased value to the MCRI and a lower cost to you, a charitable income tax deduction for the full market value of the securities, and elimination of the capital gains tax that would normally be due had you sold the appreciated stock on the open market prior to making the gift and used the proceeds from the sale to fund your donation.
